U.S. school districts to ban the purchase of chicken raised with antibiotics

According to the Los Angeles Times, members of the Urban School Food Alliance—a coalition that includes districts in New York City, N.Y.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Chicago, Ill., Dallas, Texas; and Miami-Dade County and Orlando County, Florida—have announced an antibiotic-free standard for its poultry suppliers.
