Iowa State University receives grant to explore genetics of stress resistance in corn

The National Science Foundation has awarded a three-year, $2.1 million grant to help Iowa State University plant scientists study how corn responds to environmental stress at the genetic level. This could set the stage for plant breeders to develop corn varieties that are more resilient to adverse environmental conditions, such as heat waves.
