Chiquita terminates Fyffes acquisition with new Cutrale/Safra offer

Chiquita Brands International Inc. has announced that based on the votes cast at the company’s Special Meeting of Shareholders held Oct. 24 Chiquita shareholders have not approved the revised transaction agreement with Fyffes plc.
