CSPI calls for warning labels on meat

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has filed a petition with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) asking the agency to require a warning label on packages of bacon, ham, hot dogs, and other processed meat and poultry products to inform consumers that eating those foods may be associated with an increased risk of colon cancer and colorectal cancer.
