Smart tag may help signal foods’ freshness

A study presented at the 247th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society (ACS) reported that a color-coded smart tag could tell consumers whether a carton of milk has turned sour or a can of green beans has spoiled without opening the containers.
